I’ve been eating many various foods in Singapore, well not quite "many" but I think it's enough for made a review:p I actually don’t have any plan to review or write a food journal from the start, I just feel bored, can’t concentrate enough to start doing my thesis, so I decided to look some photos when I was there, found some foods picture, get hungry but it's late to eat, so I just decided to write a review for a restaurant I’ve been visiting too. Enjoy :) I’ve been eating many various foods in Singapore, well not quite "many" but I think it's enough for made a review:p I actually don’t have any plan to review or write a food journal from the start, I just feel bored, can’t concentrate enough to start doing my thesis, so I decided to look some photos when I was in Singapore and decided to write a review for a restaurant I’ve been visiting to. Well, it doesn’t go in order so don’t bother the number! These are the top 3 local Singapore restaurant I’ve been visiting to, based on my taste, any suggestion or if you want to share one of your favorites are surely welcome! 1. Aquamarine It was really a great day for me to have a chance to eat my lunch here. I have a very good mood all day long~ So, Aquamarine is a buffet restaurant located in the Level 4, Marina Mandarin Hotel Singapore. One good thing about this place is serving Asian also international cuisine with Halal-certified, so no worries. Since it’s a buffet, so I do really explore the food stall hehe I eat many various kinds of food, steak, pasta, but one of the best things I eat that day is the Wagyu beef they serve, right from the grilling. AND THE TASTE WAS HELLA GOOD. It was cut in small pieces, it was so juicy I can’t It was really that great guys I assure you IT. REALLY. DOES. I don’t even remember to take any photo because I can’t really put my head off from the plate. The chef was nice too, they asked how the food, which one we like the most, even recommend us what should we took when they see one of us just wondering around the food stall holding an empty plate. The dessert also gewd, well, everything is just bravo. Ayu’s Rating on Aquamarine: Decor : 3.5/5 Food : 5/5 Price : Not sure, I came there for work so everything is covered by the embassy hehe For more information about this restaurant just click here :) 2. FIKA Swedish Café and Bistro As written in its name, FIKA serves Swedish food and pastry as their specialty. Located near the Haji Lane and right by the main road, FIKA is easy to find. It has two floors, with a very warm classic interior and exterior as you can see at the photo above and below. Funny thing is I was standing there an hour before it's open, I and my friends were all so hungry, it’s on a weekend, wake up late, don’t even bother to breakfast and it's nearly lunch when we get there so yeah. You can check their website , you'll in love and you’ll droll yourself :p I’ve decided to fill my empty stomach with a plate of Grilled Chicken with a glass of Sprite. After a while, it finally served in front of me. The chicken was grilled perfectly, boneless chicken leg served with a creamy whole grain mustard sauce, baby potatoes, sautéed seasonal vegetables and alfalfa (according to their menu description). AND! The portion was generous, with pretty-look food plating. IT WAS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR MY EMPTY STOMACH. The sauce was sooooooooo geeeeeeeeeewd. What my friends ordered are also very tempting, Pasta Bake and Swedish Meatballs. Unfortunately, I do not take any photo of their food, my food is the first to serve so when their food came, I’m busy cleaning my plate hehe BUT! If you are not lazy enough to open their website and look at the menu, you’ll find how tempting is the Swedish Meatballs. Ayu’s Rating on Fika Swedish Café and Bistro Decor : 4/5 Food : 5/5 Price : 4/5 3. Uncle Chicken Rice Well, who doesn’t love chicken? Two days before my internship period end, my bosses take me and Atil to join them lunch. Uncle Chicken Rice located at Havelock Rd was our choice. It is known for its Hainan chicken rice. We ordered a soy chicken and poached chicken along with bean sprouts as the side dish. I personally love the soy chicken SO MUCH! The flesh was so tender and sweet. The seasoning absorbs perfectly. The rice too… SO GOOD! I do really want to have another portion, but too shy to ask mehehe it’s similar to Nasi uduk, but its Hainan, not help sorry:P the thing is, it’s so good, I mean it.
Well that is the best three food place I've been visit to in Singapore, based on my taste. This is my first ever review on food so pardon me for every mistake mehehe should you have any other recommendation don't hesitate to add it to my list:) I'm sure that I have skipped many other good place:)
Sincerely, A.
